7 months

Cora is 7 months old and more and more fun every day!  As you can see, I'm already almost 10 days late writing this post and it is already almost 10pm and I really need to be going to bed.  The days just fly by and it is so amazing to me how fast Cora is changing and growing.

Her two bottom teeth are well in by this point and she shows them off with a variety of grins that scrunch up her adorable nose.  Her hair is getting a bit longer on top and around back.  She is sitting very reliably and has quite the reach span around her to grab toys or whatever she can get her hands on.  She even leans way forward walking her front hands out, I think she may start crawling sooner than later!  She started making a variety of sounds lately, including a v/f sound and some whispering sounds, which are much better on the ears than the previous screeching!

The main reason I'm late on writing this post is not only because each day flies by with hardly time to sit down and relax, but because last Wednesday night at 11:30pm we were woken up by Cora throwing up.  A stomach virus.  Yuck!  She really was a trooper and slept between throwing up and was pretty much over it by about 6am.  Neil and I traded off being up with her/sleeping with her and she didn't really cry at all, but it was so sad seeing her sick.  She stayed home from daycare the next two days and Neil worked from home.   By Friday she was pretty much back to normal and her happy self.  Neil and I on the otherhand woke up in the middle of the night Friday and had the stomach virus ourselves.  Man, I hope that doesn't come through the house again for a while!  The hardest part was when we were out flat and Cora was back to normal.  It is not easy taking care of a 7 month old when you are sick!  Cora is just now starting to get back into eating solid foods.  Anyways, we got through it and survived.

Here are some photos from the last month.
